On May 6, 2026, the Department of Kazakh Philology of the Faculty of Philology organized an International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Contemporary Aitys Art and the Personality of the Poet.” During the event, participants discussed the creative legacy of Bekarys Shoibekov, a renowned aitys poet and cultural figure of Kazakhstan, current trends in the development of aitys art, and the role of the poet’s personality in the national spiritual and cultural heritage. The conference served as an important platform for scholarly discussions on contemporary issues of Kazakh literature, traditional oral art, and national cultural values.
