Our student, taekwondo athlete Maksat Orynbassar, proudly represented Kazakhstan as a member of the national men's team at the World Cup held in Muju, Republic of Korea.
The tournament took place from July 14 to 16, 2026. Maksat contributed to the national team's success as Kazakhstan secured the silver medal in the men's team event.
The competition brought together athletes from 13 countries. Kazakhstan's men's team defeated Morocco in the quarterfinals and overcame Russia in the semifinals before finishing as runners-up after a 0–2 defeat to China in the final.
We sincerely congratulate Maksat Orynbassar and the Kazakhstan men's national team on this outstanding achievement. We are proud of our student's continued success in international competitions and wish him many more victories, good health, and unwavering determination in the tournaments ahead.
