In connection with the beginning of the new academic year, meetings were held at all faculties of our university for first-year students.
The faculties welcomed first-year students on their respective campuses and congratulated them on the beginning of the new academic year.
First and foremost, each faculty introduced its leadership and staff. They also presented the academic programs and activity plans for the 2026–2027 academic year.
During the meetings, the deans and vice deans of the faculties, heads of departments, lecturers, and scholars delivered speeches. They emphasized that students are provided with all the necessary opportunities not only to receive a quality education at the university, but also to actively participate in creative activities, engage in scientific research and START-UP projects, and take part in conferences.
Active students from each faculty also informed the first-year students about the various opportunities available at the university, including the Youth Department, Youth Center, Shańyraq Clubs Coordination, as well as sports, singing, dancing, and other clubs. They noted that these activities provide students with an opportunity to find a new social environment, make new friends, and spend their student years in a bright and meaningful way. They also advised students to demonstrate a high level of responsibility in their studies and to make full use of the many opportunities provided by the university.
It is worth noting that the university is a higher education institution with international status, established on the basis of an agreement between two states. The university maintains partnership relations with numerous higher education institutions in Türkiye. Students have the opportunity to study abroad through Erasmus, Orhun, and other academic mobility programs. Young people from 22 countries around the world are currently studying at our university.
Therefore, the faculty members called on the students to live up to the proud title of being a student of Khoja Akhmed Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University.
At the end of the meeting, the university administration wished the first-year students a successful start to the new academic year. The students, in turn, explored the university’s extensive library, Cultural Center, academic buildings, and spacious, modern classrooms, becoming familiar with and adapting to their new educational environment from their very first day.
Another important part of Knowledge Day was the organization by the faculties of an educational lecture for first- to fourth-year students on the topic “The New Constitution – The Legal Foundation of a Just Kazakhstan.”
During the lecture, students learned about the significance and values of the country’s main legal document.
