4 BILLION TENGE: OUR UNIVERSITY HAS BECOME THE RECIPIENT OF A MEGA-PROJECT TO ESTABLISH A CENTER FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The implemented project at the university, No. BR24992814, titled “Development of Innovative Technologies and Creation of Modern Infrastructure for the Sustainable Development of Southern Kazakhstan,” is funded under the program-targeted financing for scientific and scientific-technical programs for 2024–2026, announced by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The project research team includes leading scientists from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Germany, Hungary, and other countries. This multidisciplinary project covers medicine, biotechnology, and ecology, making a significant contribution to sectoral research within its main thematic focus.
The program’s goal is to conduct comprehensive research in medicine, biotechnology, and ecology, develop scientific and practical approaches for effective management of bioresources to achieve integrated and sustainable innovative development in the Aral-Syrdarya region, establish consulting and engineering infrastructure in environmental monitoring, green technologies, and applied microbiology, and ensure control over sustainable regional development and processing industries in the region.
The approval of this project, which aims not only at the development of the university but also at the progress of the Turkestan region, is a significant achievement for all residents of the area. May the scientific research serving society be successful!
In this context, we present information on the trends in the development of scientific projects at the university over the past four years: from 2021 to 2024, by the decision of the National Science Council, 44 grant projects received state support, with a total funding amount of 7,407,915,078.52 tenge.
