Our university has once again received a commemorative plaque and certificate from the QS World University Rankings 2025 — one of the most prestigious and influential global university rankings.

Today, the pre-summit QS Higher Education: Asia Pacific 2024 was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, focusing on higher education issues. The international event was organized in honor of the 20th anniversary of the QS Asia-Pacific Summit.

During the meeting, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayassat Nurbek, delivered a report on the performance of Kazakhstani universities in developing higher education and science. The Minister noted that 21 Kazakh universities are included in the QS World Rankings, demonstrating strong results.

At the event, Jason Newman, Commercial Director of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), presented certificates to several Kazakh universities that achieved high positions in the QS World University Rankings 2025, including Akhmet Yassawi University. The certificate was received by the university’s rector, Janar Temirbekova.

It is worth noting that our university ranked 801–850 in the QS World University Rankings 2025. The university strengthened its indicators in the categories of “Employer Reputation,” “Academic Reputation,” and “International Students.” The ranking included 1,503 universities from 104 countries worldwide.

This year, the number of Kazakhstani universities in the QS World University Rankings 2025 increased from 19 to 21, while our university retained 7th place among national and research universities.
