Today, at the Shymkent campus of our university, the Scientific Research Center for Sustainable Development organized a scientific seminar on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education.

The seminar was conducted within the following topics: “Linking the Sustainable Development Goals with educational programs and research projects,” “Good Health and Well-being,” and “Partnerships for Sustainable Development.”

The main objective was to explain the SDGs and their directions to participants, demonstrate how to connect the faculty’s research and publications with the SDGs, and provide guidance on using relevant keywords when preparing scientific papers.

Special attention was given to the importance of the relationship between medicine and the SDGs, as well as the significance of the university’s internal IP rating, research projects, publications, and activities in achieving sustainable development objectives.

The SDGs aim to combat poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all. By 2030, 17 key goals are to be achieved, contributing to sustainable development across all spheres of life and addressing global challenges that affect every individual.

Participants were also given recommendations on preparing scientific papers aligned with the SDGs and on using keywords effectively. At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees received answers to their questions and discussed the information presented.
