Today, at our university, an official presentation of the “AI-Jan” project was held on the initiative of the Commercialization Office.
The AI-Jan project was developed within the framework of the YASAWI STARTUP program implemented by the university’s Commercialization Office. This system helps school and university students in situations of emotional stress and contributes to the prevention of bullying.
The event was attended by Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, Acting Head of the Department of Education of the Turkestan Region Galymzhan Orynov, Director of the Turkestan Regional Center for Psychological Support Orazkul Koldassova, as well as school principals from the cities of Turkestan and Kentau, from the Sauran district, representatives of educational organizations, and specialists in the relevant field.
The main purpose of the meeting was to present the AI-Jan safe online platform to representatives of educational institutions. The platform is designed to provide psychological support to students and prevent bullying, as well as to discuss improving the effectiveness of psychological services in the education system through the use of artificial intelligence technologies.
Opening the meeting, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova stated: “The basis of today’s meeting is our children and their future. In recent years, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has paid special attention to digitalization and artificial intelligence, as AI is becoming an important tool for addressing significant social challenges. In this regard, questions arise: how to develop such systems and how to properly apply artificial intelligence. As the largest university in the region, we have taken on this responsibility. The AI-Jan project is a clear example of this.
As is known, cases of bullying and suicide among children still exist in society. Therefore, it is extremely important to pay close attention to these issues. That is why representatives of educational institutions and the Prosecutor’s Office are present at the presentation of our bullying prevention project,” she noted.
