An Important Step in the Direction of International Patent Protection
Under the organization of the Commercialization Office, the 2nd meeting of the Scientific and Technical Commission on decision-making regarding international patent applications was held.
During the meeting, the issue of transitioning an international patent application submitted on behalf of the University to the national phase was considered.
The agenda included:
▫️ discussion of the possibilities for registering the application in the national phase;
▫️ review of proposals from registered patent attorneys in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
▫️ determination of the relevant country(ies) for further patenting implementation.
Based on the results of the discussion, the commission adopted the appropriate decisions.
This step is aimed at systematically implementing the university’s strategy for protecting scientific results at the international level and advancing their commercialization.
