At our institution, the Southern Regional “Student Sports League,” organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has come to its conclusion.
The aim of the competition was to promote a culture of sports among young people, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and increase the number of skilled athletes who will represent our country with pride on the international stage.
Students from higher education institutions in the Turkistan, Taraz, and Kyzylorda regions, as well as the city of Shymkent, took part in the competition and competed against one another.
In total, athletes from 15 universities competed across 7 different sports to determine the strongest among them.
It is worth noting that 5 of the sporting events were held at our institution’s sports facilities. The competitions were organized by the Sports and Recreation Center.
Our university’s students achieved prize-winning places in several sports. As a result, they secured qualification in 5 sports for the national stage, which will take place in May. Specifically, our athletes will compete in the finals in togyzkumalak, chess, Kazakh kuresi (both men’s and women’s categories), basketball (men’s and women’s teams), and volleyball (women’s team).
We sincerely congratulate our winning students! We are confident that they will represent our institution with honor at the upcoming national competition and achieve excellent results.
