“THE 9TH SENATE MEETING WAS HELD”

Today, the 9th Senate meeting was held at our university. The session was attended by Senate members, heads of structural divisions, and the teaching and academic staff.

Traditionally, the meeting began with a ceremony honoring faculty members on their anniversaries and recognizing their achievements.

At the outset, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova and Vice-Rector Mustafa Giritlioglu congratulated Guldanа Kaztay, Head of the Media and PR Center and Press Secretary, on being awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for her significant contribution to the high-quality preparation of the draft of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan and the organization of the nationwide referendum on its adoption.

In addition, Ugilzhan Tatykayeva, Gulnaz Nuskabayeva, Gulzhan Niyazova, and Kopzhasar Zhetibyaev were awarded the Honorary Diploma “Excellence in Higher and Postgraduate Education” from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Fazladin Temurov and Sherzod Kurbanbekov received the ministry’s Honorary Certificate for their significant contribution to the development of higher education and science.

Furthermore, Sherzod Ramankulov, Ghani Issayev, Kanat Bazarbayev, Minash Altynbekova, and Murat Yerdenov were presented with Letters of Appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The university leadership also congratulated scholar Abdurakhim Mustafayev on his 70th anniversary, and Kaldybek Kynabayev and Gulnur Seitmagzumkyzy on their 60th anniversaries, presenting them with commemorative gifts.

It is worth noting that Bekzat Myrzabekov and Bekbolat Seitov were awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent) by the decision of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry. Rector Zhanar Temirbekova congratulated the faculty members on their achievements.

The meeting then continued with reports on the main agenda items. N. Baibakhov, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, presented a report on planning the student intake for the 2026–2027 academic year.

In addition, several important issues were considered, including the submission of faculty documents for academic titles to the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education, approval of textbooks and teaching materials prepared by university staff for recommendation and publication, внесение amendments to doctoral research topics and supervisors, and approval of the composition of the Admissions Committee for the 2026–2027 academic year.
