SUPPORT FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS: “DEMO DAY” EVENT HELD
At our university, the “Demo Day” event was held within the framework of the YASSAWI Incubator Program organized by the Commercialization Office.
The main purpose of the event was to provide participants of the “YASSAWI STARTUP” business incubation program with an opportunity to present the results achieved during the training period and defend their startup projects before a panel of experts.
In addition, the event served as a platform for potential investors and partners interested in supporting the ideas of young entrepreneurs, while also creating opportunities for participants to establish professional connections with industry experts and representatives of the business community.
It should be noted that, within the framework of the program, participants completed 12 weeks of intensive training and worked on the development of their startup projects. They attended specialized seminars and practical training sessions, and also gained experience through collaboration with personal business trackers and mentors.
The panel of experts included Askar Abubakirov, Vice-President of CMTIS Company and Business Consultant & Project Manager; Dinislam Nartayuly, Deputy Head of the Turkistan Regional Youth Resource Center; Myrzabay Bolatuly, Deputy Head of the Turkistan Regional Branch of the Zhas Ruhy Youth Wing; Guldana Abdankul, First Category Expert of the Atameken Chamber of Entrepreneurs; Bekmyrza Tolbasy, founder of the “ALLO PIZZA” fast-food chain and “Rakhat Group” company; as well as Gulzada Rakhmanberdi, entrepreneur and founder of “Magic Day.”
During the “Demo Day” event, talented young participants presented their innovative startup projects. The showcased projects included environmentally focused, technological, and creative startups.
Participants delivered detailed presentations on the advantages of their ideas, target audiences, and future development opportunities.
Out of 11 startup projects, 9 teams successfully defended their projects by decision of the expert panel, fully completed the program, and were awarded special certificates.
As part of the “Demo Day” startup project defense event, participants demonstrated the innovative features, technological capabilities, and market relevance of their projects at a high professional level.
The experts highly appreciated the presented projects and expressed particular interest in the participants’ initiatives and ideas.
Furthermore, experts and partners discussed prospects for future cooperation with the teams, including joint project development and mentorship support.
The event significantly contributed to increasing the involvement of young entrepreneurs in the startup ecosystem and provided strong momentum for the support and development of innovative projects.
