“RESPECTING THE LAW MEANS RESPECTING YOURSELF”: A MEETING WITH DIDAR SMAGULOV WAS HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY

Today, our university hosted a meeting titled “Respecting the Law Means Respecting Yourself.”

The meaningful event, aimed at promoting legal awareness and strengthening legal culture, brought together public activist and independent anti-corruption expert Didar Smagulov with faculty members and students.

The main purpose of the meeting was to enhance young people’s legal culture, foster respect for the law, strengthen anti-corruption values, and encourage active civic engagement.

During the event, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova introduced legal expert Didar Smagulov and expressed her gratitude for his special visit to our university.

The meeting was moderated by Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov.

During the session, Didar Smagulov presented his 2025–2030 Concept aimed at promoting the ideology of “Law and Order.”

He also elaborated on the importance of the rule of law, justice, and transparency for the development of society. Furthermore, he emphasized that the law applies equally to everyone and that every citizen bears equal responsibility before the law.

Students received valuable information on improving legal literacy, strengthening civic responsibility, and fostering a culture of compliance with legal requirements.

Using simple and practical examples, the speaker explained that obeying the law is the responsibility of every citizen.

The meeting was held in an open discussion format, allowing students to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers.
