SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR “THE CURRENT STATE OF PHILOLOGICAL SCIENCE: CHANGES, TRENDS, AND PARADIGMS”



On the occasion of Science Workers’ Day, celebrated on April 12, our university hosted a scientific seminar entitled “The Current State of Philological Science: Changes, Trends, and Paradigms,” organized by the Alumni Association. The event brought together leading scholars from Kazakhstan and abroad, university faculty members, young researchers, and students. The main objective of the seminar was to discuss contemporary trends in the development of philological science, current challenges, and emerging scientific paradigms, as well as to promote the scholarly legacy and commemorate the distinguished Kazakh philologist, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Mekemtas Myrzakhmetuly. The seminar was opened by Zhazira Issayeva, Head of the Department of Philology, who congratulated the participants on the occasion and wished them productive and successful discussions. During the seminar, participants explored current developments in philological studies, new directions in linguistics and literary studies, modern research methodologies, and pressing academic issues. Scholars delivered presentations and engaged in professional discussions. The seminar served as an important platform for exchanging academic experience and ideas, contributing to a deeper understanding of the present state and future prospects of philological science.
