“CLUB FAIR 2026” HELD
In keeping with an annual tradition, our university hosted “CLUB FAIR 2026,” organised by the Shanyraq Club Coordination Centre.
The event aimed to help students use their time productively, increase their engagement and provide guidance in choosing extracurricular activities.
Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, Rector’s Representative Peyami Battal and Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov first toured the fair and learned about the activities of each club. During the exhibition, the university leaders saw that the enthusiastic young club members were united by common goals and ambitious aspirations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova said:
“CLUB FAIR is held annually at our university. I am delighted to see our first-year students here today. Welcome!
Our university has many capable, talented and knowledgeable students. I believe that all the students who have joined the clubs represented at todays fair have chosen a path that suits them. After all, university life is the first step towards personal development.
Four years of study will, of course, pass in the blink of an eye. Life at Yassawi University is exciting and full of opportunities. One of these opportunities is the Shanyraq Club Coordination Centre. Student clubs provide an excellent environment in which young people can develop their creativity.”
Rector’s Representative Peyami Battal then addressed the participants:
“As far as I know, more than 150 students have already joined the clubs. We should encourage as many students as possible to become club members. The university is always ready to provide the necessary support. I wish the club supervisors, chairs and members every success in their future activities!”
Around 30 student clubs are operating at the university during the current academic year.
It should be noted that the number of environmental clubs at the university has increased since the beginning of the new academic year in support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s nationwide environmental campaign, “Taza Qazaqstan.” New clubs such as “Taza Arna” and “Yassawi Tabiǵat” have begun operating to protect the environment and promote ecological awareness.
The STEAM HUB Club has also been established to develop the student-oriented potential of natural science laboratories in the field of science and innovation. The club enables students to participate in scientific and innovative projects.
In addition, a dedicated Psychological Support Club has been opened to prevent and address psychological difficulties experienced by students. The club works directly with students and provides comprehensive support for their personal development, emotional well-being and adjustment to the learning process.
The newly established and revitalized clubs therefore play an important role in supporting students’ well-rounded development and increasing their engagement in public life.
The opening ceremony continued with a concert programme. Club members raised their flags and presented their respective missions.
Active students then created a festive atmosphere for the audience by performing on stage, singing melodious songs and presenting dance performances.
